Searching for meaning

"Have a great trip" many well wishers wished me. "Enjoy your vacation!".
"Have fun", "are you excited?" "Enjoy!", good meaning friends sent me off with.
It's hard to explain my feelings. 
It's not what they think. This is not just a 'trip'. This is part of my journey. 
This is a journey to my past, it is a journey into my soul. 
It is a difficult journey and I feel a bit unsure of what I will see and feel. 
All I know for sure is that I am feeling open to embrace whatever growth happens.
I just smile and thank them for their blessings. 
I'm hoping for meaningful. I'm looking for self discovery. It would be a dream to come out of this trip with deeper clarity and understanding. 
Am I excited? Yes! Will it be a great trip? For sure! But just a little different this time.
